about

Going Places is a dreamy, pensive song about feeling stuck in a rut and day dreaming about escaping and being elsewhere. The track builds to a crescendo and ends with a chorus that represents breaking free and going wherever it is your heart longs to be.

lyrics

The sun is just a visiting old friend from out of space
From time to time it shines its loving rays upon my face
Reminds me of a better time, in turn a better place
And problems disappear without a trace

I don’t wanna be here doing this x2
If I had a chance I’d give it a miss
I’d be else where

Like at the front row of the gig when the band comes on
And when they tease us at the end, then play our favourite song
As the encore

Coz I don’t wanna be here doing this anymore

The moon is there for howling at when you have had enough
It’s comforting and constant even when the ride is rough
I for one am lazy but have learned to pull my weight
I wonder, can anyone else relate?

I don’t wanna be here doing this x2
If I had a chance I’d give it a miss
I’d be else where

Like at the station, the busker sings as the train comes in
With all the mystery it brings, like going places that you’ve
Never been before
Must be something more

I’m getting out…..

I’m at the station, the busker sings as the train comes in
With all the mystery it brings, I’m going places that I’ve
Never been before
Must be something more
